The nation’s leading divers will be eyeing up their chance to stand on top of a British podium as four days of Aquatics GB Diving Championships competition gets underway at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre.
An exciting four days of competition is approaching, as Britain’s best take to the Sandwell Aquatics Centre diving boards across the 5th-8th June with the opportunity to grasp their place on this summer’s world championships team in addition to the prestige of a British title crown.
Since the Aquatics GB Diving Winter Cup kickstarted the calendar year of competition, Britian’s divers have been in medal winning form on the international stage - with an exciting World Aquatics World Cup Series campaign concluding at the Beijing Super Final last month, and the recent European Aquatics Diving Championships successes.
The now homecoming of Britain’s top divers to Sandwell alongside emerging pathway talent is once again providing fans the chance get up close to the action ahead of this summer’s world championships in Singapore.
Scheduled across the opening two days of diving action are the individual 1m springboard and 3m springboard events - along with the Women’s Platform Synchro medal contest rounding out the Thursday 5th June afternoon finals session – ahead of the weekend programme showcasing the individual platform and 3m Springboard Synchro competitions.
All five Winter Cup champions return to challenge for the 2025 domestic double, with Yasmin Harper and Grace Reid set to battle for the Women’s individual springboard golds, Jordan Houlden targeting another dual sweep of the Men’s 1m and 3m Springboard, while Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and Ben Cutmore respectively look to lock down further platform titles.
The 3m Springboard Synchro contests will see recent medal winning World Cup and European pairings among those facing off for British gold - with Women’s and Men’s Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medallists Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen, plus Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding coming up against quality opposition in Desharne Bent-Ashmeil together with Amy Rollinson, and Leon Baker alongside Hugo Thomas.
Maisie Bond and Lois Toulson meanwhile will aim continue their impressive debut season together with an eye-catching list as they line up in the Women’s Synchro Platform.
Spectator tickets will be available to purchase from the Sports Information Desk in the Sandwell Aquatics Centre foyer throughout the event programme.
