There will be eight opportunities to catch Britain’s swimmers, divers and para-swimmers on home soil in 2019.
In
addition to British Swimming’s annual domestic events, there will be the bonus
of international events in the form of the FINA Diving World Series in London and
the LEN European Short Course Championships in Glasgow.
The calendar sees events hosted in Plymouth, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield and London giving fans the chance to see big names such as Adam Peaty, Tom Daley and Ellie Simmonds at some of the best venues Britain has to offer.
The 2019 events diary features:
February
1 to 3 - British National Diving Cup - Plymouth Life Centre
April 11 to 14 - British Elite Junior Diving Championships - Ponds Forge, Sheffield
April 16 to 21 - British Swimming Championships - Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow
April 25 to 28 – British Para-Swimming International Swimming Meet - Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow
May 17 to 19 – FINA Diving World Series – London Aquatics Centre
May 31 to June 2 - British Diving Championships – Royal Commonwealth Pool, Edinburgh.
July 23 to 28 - British Summer Championships - Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow
December 4 to 8 - LEN European Short Course Swimming Championships - Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow
Rebecca McCreath, Director of Events and
Communications at British Swimming said: “Next year will be a huge one for our
athletes being so close to Tokyo 2020.
“Having so many domestic and international competitions on British soil will give fans plenty of opportunity to see current, and future Olympic and Paralympic medalists.
“Glasgow put on such a great show with the European Championships we are delighted to be going back to Scotland for more than half of next year’s events.”
