After a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors, Aquatics GB (British Swimming Ltd.) is delighted to confirm a second term for Karen Webb Moss, who became the first female Chair of the organisation in 2022. The new term of four years will see Webb Moss take the organisation through the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
During her first term she has strengthened the role, diversity and skillset of the Board, and with the appointment of CEO Drew Barrand in 2023, she has overseen the rebranding, restructure and enhanced positioning of Aquatics GB with a significantly improved major event portfolio, strong production and world-leading results from enhanced digital content across all disciplines.
Over the past four years, under her watch, the governing body has enjoyed numerous achievements in and out of the pool, with impressive medal success across swimming, diving, artistic and Para swimming at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and at several World and European Aquatics Championships. As part of its strategy to both strive for podium success and to grow the sport - Aquatics GB now has invested significantly in social impact programmes.
Webb Moss has driven stronger relationships with the World and European Aquatics Federations and with key partners including Aquatics home nations -Swim Wales, Scottish Swimming and Swim England, UK Sport, the British Olympic Association, British Paralympic Association, and the National Lottery operator Allwyn.
She has also recently been appointed as the NGB Chair for the Sport & Recreation Alliance Management Committee.
Webb Moss has a wealth of experience from a 30-year career in the global sports business. Aside from Board roles, she has her own consultancy advising countries, cities and sports on strategies across international relations, reputation management, nation branding, event and sport bids, and leadership campaigns.
