Aquatics GB are campaigning to help support school swimming - and now you can win a chance for one of our athletes to come to your school and show just how important it is.
Launching during the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships at the iconic London Aquatics Centre, fans and families can enter our 'Win a Swimmer' competition with the hope of getting an Aquatics GB athlete into their child's school, as we and our partners at Swim England, Scottish Swimming and Swim Wales look to ensure that every child leaves school set up to enjoy the water safely.
Whether it's an Olympic champion getting into the water to help teach a class some basic swimming skills during their lesson, or one of our future Paralympic stars leading a water safety assembly in school, this is an exciting opportunity for your children to get a unique experience with an Aquatics GB star - all while supporting a really important campaign.
Ensuring children are able to swim is not just about providing health, wellbeing and enjoyment benefits, but ultimately offering them a vital, life-saving skill as well. Yet despite being a National Curriculum requirement, only 50 per cent of children from the poorest families in England are leaving primary school able to swim 25m, something us and our athletes are passionate about improving.
